The Growth Game 2017...
Sunday, and day 22 of the year of growth! My commitment to writing apparently needs some attention.. but what I have come to know, and understand, is that when you are rocking one part of your life; you are inevitably sucking somewhere else!
So my commitment to growth has been rocking, the first of the eight weekend components of my RYT 200 certifications was amazing! Yoga is so much more than a physical challenge for me, the philosophy, history and methodology of it all, is so amazing! Each weekend I am heading home from training I think about everything I have learned, and realize each kernel of knowledge opens a pandoras box of more!
but that's life isn't it? We learn something; and it either inspires more learning on that path; or signals a change of direction to another path... no change of direction on the yoga training, I have definitely found a home for myself physically and spiritually in this practice. So far the teachings are very well received within the 'At Home' schedule... I'm grateful for everyone opening themselves up to 'trying'; but the fact of the matter is, with or without students I will have my yoga practice; and will continue to grow on this path! Fortunately everyone is feeling the benefits and loving the yoga!
The first workshop of 2017 was creating Vision Boards! It has been a lot of years since I have done this, and I was so excited to create a new board! It was so much fun to see what everyone was adding to their boards and discuss the ways to manifest these things!
Sticking with my theme of Growth; my goals are to complete my Reiki Master Training, RYT 200 Training and I have set goals with my pole crew, fitness crew, and on a business level the Summer Studio for At Home is now in the design phase!
I am so beyond excited to be planning a permanent structure that will house pole, aerial yoga, fitness and all things yoga come rain or shine this summer! We are blessed with the land and space to add this to our yard, now as we brain storm ideas we are taking lots of notes - the things that will be immediate needs, the things we can add later, and all the ways this is going to make summer 2017 amazing! Ground breaking is planned for the long weekend in May!
It all feels a little surreal sometimes, when I think about the struggle I went through letting go of the studio space; I am reminded that sometimes letting go is the only way to grow!
My gratitude practice is going hard these days! I spent this afternoon with one of my oldest, dearest friends at yet another baby shower... the grand babies are coming fast for all my friends (I was a grandma before I was 40 and I am so incredibly excited for them to experience the absolute joy these tiny humans bring to your life!)
This afternoon catching up with friends I said 'I actually feel guilty being this happy!' I know in my heart that I have worked hard to reach this place, and that my goals of growth are as much about finding ways to improve the lives of my family and clients (who mostly feel like family!) as they are about me! I know that living in each moment, whether it is painful or joyful; has brought me to a place of contentment (which is different than being complacent) and being fully in those moments brings me so much peace!
So while my goal of writing in 2017 hasn't been rocking... I keep faith in 'everything in it's own time' and I am beyond grateful for the growth game being strong! Looking forward to an amazing week of classes here At Home... Warrior Style!
