After the Ah-ha Moment ... letting life move through you!

Self awareness is a huge part of my programs; the more we know about our self the better able to take care of our self we will become … makes total sense - right?

I meditate and journal daily, I have come to appreciate and dedicate parts of my day to 'just being' - no efforts, no struggle, just me and some moments - reflection maybe, gratitude always, and of course the never ending quest for more awareness!

Making my way through challenges, and digging deep with courses and workshops, I am constantly learning about my 'Me', unravelling my 'why'; on any given day I am experiencing ah-ha moments at ridiculously high rates of speed … I have come to accept that it's a never ending quest; but I reach levels of exhaustion, I get tired, and right now … I'm tired!

So what then?

Pack it in and call it a day?

Hell no!  I didn't come this far to only come this far … and neither should you!

September was a huge month for me; I was terrified I couldn't do something - the fear of failing has kept me hanging on in denial for a while now, questioning my own power; and afraid to consider that I might just have a real problem!

The good news I don't have a drinking problem, I have a feeling problem!  Ah-ha!

Alcohol has been the stopper on a powder keg of emotions for the passed 6 months… you see unlike most people who explode when they drink, I retreat to a place of 'don't care'; there is no point discussing anything with me; because drinking me 'doesn't care'.

Doesn't care me moves through life … but the thing is 'truly living'; I have learned through all my energy work requires letting life move through you, allowing the joy and the pain, feeling the emotions, making sense of them at a level that enables forgiveness and healing!

Letting life move through you requires courage, moving through life requires armour and a great deal of emotionally numb stamina!

When I get to places of emotional exhaustion, I have come to recognize I am at war with life, out of alignment if you prefer.  Course correction requires clarity, retrospection and introspection … sounds complicated, messy and a little like too much work on most days; but here's the thing - when it is part of your daily practice the ah-ha moments become spring boards to MORE, not wishful moments of having the time, or the energy, to be MORE!

An Ah-ha moment opens you to a new level of clarity; stepping into that new level requires your whole Self … when the whole Self is stuck in baggage, numbed emotionally, those steps can only happen in your wishful thinking … you need to get out of your head, and into reality with this stuff if you're ever going to get anywhere!

It's all possible, it's all figureoutable!

You just have to step into it!  Clarity is available on so many levels, identify and stop the numbing - whether it's the glass of wine at the end of the night, the tub of ice cream, the countless hours scrolling social media, whatever your shield is made of - set it down.

Allow yourself to be still, pay attention to your thoughts, acknowledge your feelings, you're human and feelings (all of them - the good, the bad and the ugly) are part of the process, let it all move through you!  Use your breath to connect to yourself - inhale, fill the belly, exhale, let it go and feel the space you've created … smile!

If a problem can be solved by action; then you don't have a problem. ~ Mel Robbins

Let your thoughts settle on that simple statement; it is a powerful truth bomb!

What are your required actions?

Write them down, and really let them dissolve into manageable steps as your read them over, baby steps if that's what you need - but what are your required actions to step into this new level of clarity?

You see the ah-ha moment is your call to action … will you allow life to move through you, uncover your required actions and do the work … I set down the armour, got still with myself and I hope you will too!

Level Up … whatever that looks like in your life, level up!

After the Ah-ha there are 4 steps …

1. Set down the armour.
2. Be still with yourself and let life move through you.
3. Define the actions you can take to step up.
4. Do them!
