Nature Grounding & 3 pages from Nature's Book

Hit the ground running when I got home from holidays, when I left there were snow banks - arriving home the grass was 8 inches high, the wind storm had stripped the trees of any dead wood and more pinecones than I have ever seen on this property!

There is work to be done come Spring here At Home!

Today, as I made my way around the yard I was greeted with Baltimore Orioles beautiful songs, thanking me for the orange slices at the feeder this morning I am sure!  Hummingbirds, which ironically my mother called this morning to tell me they come home this weekend to get my feeders out - but don't use that red crap they sell cause that kills them; were perched in the lilac tree watching me pick up branches ... I got the feeder out, they too are now happy campers!

It never ceases to amaze me the way my property comes to life every spring.  Trees grow feet taller, blossoms are blooming both where I planted them and in places I know I didn't!  Beautiful daffodils and tulips are growing in the scrub brush along the property line, where I dump weeds and fall clean up from the flower beds; they don't need meticulous gardens to show themselves off ... they just bloom!

Nature has it all figured out, there are back up plans for the back up plans; and come hell or high water the job gets done!  The lessons available to us if we choose to listen are beyond abundant!

When I started clean up this afternoon I was wracking my brain for a Friday Vlog topic, nothing was lighting me up; and my commitment to myself in this Vlog journey was that it would never be forced, it would never be scripted, it would always be a casual conversation that I would have each week with whomever felt they needed my message.

When I stopped thinking about it and drew my attention to the moments I was sharing with nature, natured shared my Vlog topic with me... crazy but it's true!  Three essential things that nature does, things that we can do too; that helps us transition and thrive not just in Spring, but in Life!

1.  Let Go of what you no longer need!
Trees are dropping dead branches, pinecones and seeds, animals are shedding winter coats, all things that are no longer needed.  They don't second guess what is happening, try to hold onto these things, or lament about what might lie ahead without it, they just surrender what is no longer needed!  The message is the same for us, whatever baggage you are carrying around, emotional, physical, whatever - just let it go!  Create space for new emotions, new experiences; or just space for you ... in your mind, in your heart, in your home ... everywhere in your life; create space!

2.  Focus on the new growth!
Trees, flowers, wildlife don't focus on last year's drought, or the limb that was lost in the storm, those things are the past!  They expand their roots, move their nest and embrace the suns warmth as their next opportunity presents itself!  We are not defined by what has happened to us in the past, decisions we made, or things we have done; every day we are given the opportunity to expand, to move; and yes; to grow in a new direction, towards a brighter future!  Focus on the new growth and do what needs to be done to facilitate it!  Maybe forgiveness, for yourself or others, maybe courage to step outside your comfort zone, maybe letting go of toxic people, do what you need to do to shift focus to new growth!

3.  Bloom where you are!  The dandelion who finds itself growing between the daffodils doesn't feel inferior, or ugly, it doesn't refuse to bloom?  The daffodil who has found itself transplanted, through no fault of its own on the property line in the weeds, doesn't refuse to bloom!  They bloom where they are, no matter how out of place, or inconvenient, they just bloom with everything they have!   No matter where you are on your life path, on your goal/soul journey you need to bloom!  You need to share your beauty with the world!  Don't apologize because you're different, or hold back because you aren't where you think you should be ... give yourself permission to 'JUST BE'  The world needs your beauty, your gift; and you need to share it!

Life is a precious gift; and while we strive to get where we think we need to be, lets not lose sight of the natural rhythm we are all apart of!  Sometimes the best thing we can do is let nature take it's course, follow our instincts, listen to our gut, let go of what no longer serves us, grow to our full potential and bloom right where we are .. in this moment ... right now!
Love & Light everyone ... Be Well!
